Experienced Auditor—Texas/Louisiana (Houston Office)
RSI is currently recruiting a highly motivated, experienced Auditor to conduct sales and use tax audits and audit defense work for our Texas/Louisiana region. Experience in the oil and gas service industry is a plus for this position.
Professional experience and job requirements: 5+ years experience in sales and use tax recovery or internal auditing; Experienced in sales and use tax reverse audit and audit defense; Strong analytical skills in relation to evaluating audits and clients' goals; Demonstrated analytical and recovery analysis skills; Thorough knowledge of organization, business practices, business philosophy, and ethics; Demonstrated management and leadership skills; Impeccable customer service/relations skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation is based on contingency fee. Some travel required.
Administrative Assistant
Clerical assistance in our Richmond, TX office with reviews of accounts payable audits and defense of state tax audits with the purpose of discovering overpayments and recovering these funds from suppliers to improve clients' gross margins. Performs clerical and administrative duties that require an understanding of established office procedures.
Required skills: Microsoft Excel; 10-Key; Excellent communication skills, especially via phone; Motivated and responsible; Independent and efficient worker; Curious and detail oriented
Required experience: 1-2 years general office experience
Contract position to start with opportunity to become employee. Minimum 40 hours per week. No travel.
Auditor
Conduct accounts payable audits and state tax audits with the purpose of discovering overpayments and recovering these funds from suppliers to improve clients' gross margins. Must possess excellent customer service.
Required skills: Advanced knowledge of A/P recovery analysis, procedures and philosophy; Strong analytical skills in relation to evaluating audits and clients' goals; Demonstrated analytical and recovery analysis skills; Thorough knowledge of organization, business practices, business philosophy, and ethics; Demonstrated management and leadership skills; Impeccable customer service/relations skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum experience: 10 years recovery audit experience
